Mitt Romney: “Amy Coney Barrett is a highly-respected jurist with distinguished legal and academic credentials.”

Well, this is promising!

Mitt Romney has already said he would give President Trump's appointee a vote on the Senate floor.

He just hasn't indicated which way he would vote.

But he just posted this to Facebook and I think it's a promising sign:

Here's the text if you can't see that:

Amy Coney Barrett is a highly-respected jurist with distinguished legal and academic credentials. My constitutional role to provide advice and consent on a Supreme Court nomination is one of my most serious responsibilities as a senator, and I believe our next justice must faithfully apply the law and our Constitution, impartially and regardless of policy preferences. I look forward to meeting with Judge Barrett, reviewing her record thoroughly, and carefully evaluating her qualifications.

Barrett really does have an impeccable legal resume and career and she is widely respected among all her peers.

And it's gonna be a real stretch to say she sexually assaulted someone 30 years ago at a party.

Do the right thing Senators....FILL THE SEAT!
