Mediaite covered some background information of the new poll:
President Donald Trump is leading Democratic presidential nomineeJoe Biden in the state of Florida, according to a poll by the Trafalgar Group.
The poll, conducted from September 1-3 and released on Friday, showed Trump winning support from 48.7 percent of likely voters, compared to 45.6 percent for Biden. The finding is at odds with other polls taken in the state, including one by Quinnipiac, which showed Biden leading by 3 percent just after the Republican National Convention.
The Georgia-based polling firm weights its surveys for “social desirability bias,” taking into account the idea that some Trump voters are afraid to be honest with pollsters. That methodology has included asking respondents who they believed their neighbors planned to vote for, as well as differences in how Trafalgar judges who is most likely to vote. in It was also one of the only polling firms to correctly predict Trump would win Michigan and Pennsylvania in 2016.

Here’s what National Interest had to say about Trump leading in Florida:
President Donald Trump has more than a three-point lead over Democratic nominee Joe Biden in the crucial, swing state of Florida, according to a poll conducted by the Trafalgar Group released Friday.
Those that participated in the poll are predominantly White, female, and stood in the age range of 45 to 64. More than 65 percent of participants were White, with only about 18 percent being Hispanic, 14 percent Black, and 2.1 percent Asian.
Democrats have fired back about the accuracy of the Trafalgar poll but as Ben Shapiro says repeatedly” facts don’t care about your feelings.”
The fact of the matter is the Trafalgar poll was the only poll that accurately predicted Trump would win Michigan and Pennsyvlania in 2016.
