Absolute Chaos: Trump Supporter is Shot Dead in Portland

A war is brewing in Portland.

An unidentified man who was wearing a “Blue Lives Matter” patch and a “Patriots Prayer” hat was gunned down in the street last night in Portland.

The suspect  is still at large.

Earlier in the day hundreds of Trump supporters rolled through Portland in a caravan.

Protestors responded by throwing  urine, rocks, and anything they could find at the caravan.

The New York Times covered the violence that happened in Portland and is quoted saying this:

A man was shot and killed Saturday as a large group of supporters of President Trump traveled in a caravan through downtown Portland, Ore., which has seen nightly protests for three consecutive months.

The pro-Trump rally drew hundreds of trucks full of supporters into the city. At times, Trump supporters and counterprotesters clashed on the streets, with people shooting paintball guns from the beds of pickup trucks and protesters throwing objects back at them.

A video that purports to be of the shooting, taken from the far side of the street, showed a small group of people in the road outside what appears to be a parking garage. Gunfire erupts, and a man collapses in the street.

The man who was shot and killed was wearing a hat with the insignia of Patriot Prayer, a far-right group based in Portland that has clashed with protesters in the past.

USA Today spoke about the violent shooting and added these details:

One person was shot and killed late Saturday in Portland, Oregon, as a large caravan of President Donald Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter clashed in the streets, police said.

It wasn’t clear if the shooting was linked to fights that broke out as a caravan of about 600 vehicles was confronted by protesters in the city’s downtown. An Associated Press freelancer observed police medics working on the body of the victim, who appeared to be a white man.

“Portland Police officers heard sounds of gunfire from the area of Southeast 3rd Avenue and Southwest Alder Street. They responded and located a victim with a gunshot wound to the chest. Medical responded and determined that the victim was deceased,” the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement.

Will there be a Civil War in Portland?

Hopefully not but if Ted Wheeler doesn’t swallow his pride and accept federal assistance to stop the violence in Portland that’s where we will be heading.
