Despite the infernal screams of the Left to eliminate all things Christianity in public education, one man thinks school could use a little more religion.
Joe Biden is now lamenting the lack of ISLAM being taught to children.
From Yahoo:
Former Vice President Joe Biden received endorsements from several Muslim American leaders before addressing the Million Muslim Votes summit on Monday.
Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison, and Rep. Andre Carson (D-Ind.), were among several Muslim American officials who signed a letter endorsing Biden on Monday. Omar’s endorsement was especially notable seeing as she was a big supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and continues to be a leading progressive voice in the House.
Biden then went on to open his speech with a request: “I wish we were taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith,” calling it “one of the great confessional faiths” that “come[s] from the same root” as Christian religions.”
And more from The Washington Times:
Mr. Biden praised Islam as “one of the great confessional faiths” while claiming it is routinely maligned by President Trump
“We all come from the same root here in terms of our fundamental basic beliefs and I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity, for being engaged, for committing to action this November,” he continued. “You’re doing what has never been done before. You’re registering and turning out more than 1 million Muslim voters this November. It matters. … Under this administration we’ve seen an unconscionable — and unconscionable rise — in Islamophobia.”
While Joe Biden will likely tell you that you can't wish your teacher a Merry Christmas if he is the President next year, he sees no problem in pushing Islamic doctrines on our children.
Many schools cover world religions, including Islam, in their curriculums, so why the need for more Mohammad?
Well, it's probably because while the Left rages against the doctrines of Christianity, Islam represents another chance to virtue signal.
