Sen. Ted Cruz: A Black National Anthem is “asinine”…we are one America!

Did Ted Cruz nail it on this one?

You might have heard that the NFL will be playing the "Black National Anthem" when it resumes games, leading many to ask:  what is that?

Who knew there was such a thing?

Well, apparently there is but according to Ted Cruz it's an "asinine" concept.

And I have to agree with him.

Why is it the Democrats always want to divide us into groups?

As Cruz says, we are ONE America!

Exactly right!

There's not black America or white America, despite how hard the Dems want to push for it.

Republicans and clear-thinking Americans simply say it is one America for all.

Take a look:

Here's more, from Fox News:

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, called the report of the NFL planning to play the black national anthem before games during Week 1 of the 2020 season “asinine.”

Cruz wondered in a tweet whether there were national anthems for other races.

“How many national anthems do we have??

“Is there an Hispanic national anthem?

“An Asian-American national anthem?

“This is asinine. We are ONE America. E Pluribus Unum,” he wrote.

The NFL will play “Lift Ev’ry Voice And Sing,” which is also known as the black national anthem, before every Week 1 NFL game in the 2020 season, according to ESPN.

The decision to play the song comes following the death of Minneapolis man George Floyd, which led to nationwide protests over racial inequality and police brutality.

According to the ESPN report, the song will be played before “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

The NFL has not commented on the reported decision.

The league and the NFL Players Association are also contemplating listing the names of victims on uniforms through decals on helmets or patches on jerseys, ESPN reported. The NFL also may produce educational programs about victims. They also have other plans that haven’t been identified.

The league hopes it demonstrates “a genuine commitment to the public, players and coaches and that player voices continue to be heard,” according to ESPN’s source.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell put out a video last month admitting that the league was wrong for not listening to their players when they knelt during the national anthem to protest racial injustice and police brutality.

"We, at the National Football League, believe Black Lives Matter," Goodell said in the video. "I personally protest with you and want to be part of the much-needed change in this country.
