Response To Gov. Newsom Banning Worship Singing: We Raise a Hallelujah!

In case you missed the big news out this week, California’s far-left Governor Gavin Newsom has now banned singing in worship services.

Yes, for real.

Maybe next he will just “ban God”.

Good luck with all this, Gav.

Take a look:

The Sacramento Bee confirms:

Californians are still free to attend their house of worship. But they’re forbidden from singing or chanting.

Updated COVID-19 guidelines issued Wednesday by the state Department of Public Health require churches and other houses of worship to “discontinue singing and chanting activities.”

In previously allowing religious organizations to reopen in late May, the state merely said these institutions should “strongly consider discontinuing singing, group recitation, and other practices and performances.”

Health agencies such as the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say shouting or singing can spread the coronavirus just as easily as coughing or sneezing.

California’s health department agrees, and as Gov. Gavin Newsom begins tightening protocols during a resurgence of the pandemic, it now says singing and chanting are outright banned.

“Activities such as singing and chanting negate the risk reduction achieved through six feet of physical distancing,” the state said in its new guidelines.

Houses of worship are now being told to have masks available for congregants who don’t bring one.

Things are becoming so ridiculous it's hard to tell what's real and what's satire anymore.

This next Tweet is satire, but is it really that far off?

So, how to respond?

Well, at WeLoveTrump we think the song below is very appropriate.

We don't cower in fear.

We don't abide by unlawful edicts that threaten religious freedom.

We RAISE A HALLELUJAH!

You see, I think Gavin knows that Psalm 22:3 says God "inhabits the praises of his people."

Other translations say God is "enthroned on the praises of his people."

So I guess if you're a far-left idealogue who needs God out of the way, the most logical thing to do would be to start banning worship.

They tried banning people from going to churches outright, remember that?

Now it looks like they're settling on banning worship songs.

Have you read your Bible?

Do you know what God thinks of the worshippers?

The musicians?  The worship leaders?

He actually put them on the front lines of battle!

Do you remember that?

2 Chronicles 20:21

21 After consulting the people, Jehoshaphat appointed men to sing to the Lord and to praise him for the splendor of his holiness as they went out at the head of the army, saying:

“Give thanks to the Lord,
    for his love endures forever.”

So join me please and let's sing this in unison all across the country....we Raise a Hallelujah!  👇

Lyrics:

Verse 1

I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies

I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief

I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody

I raise a hallelujah, Heaven comes to fight for me

Chorus

I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm

Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar

Up from the ashes, hope will arise

Death is defeated, the King is alive

Verse 2

I raise a hallelujah, with everything inside of me

I raise a hallelujah, I will watch the darkness flee

I raise a hallelujah, in the middle of the mystery

I raise a hallelujah, fear you lost your hold on me

Bridge

Sing a little louder

In the presence of my enemies

Sing a little louder

Louder than the unbelief

Sing a little louder

My weapon is a melody

Sing a little louder

Heaven comes to fight for me
