If Donald Trump boiled babies and ate them, feminists would be calling him the second coming of Hitler himself!
But apparently… Joe Biden can do no wrong…
At least, that's what a feminist author appears to be claiming.
In a shocking statement, feminist icon Katha Pollitt claimed that "I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them."
If this is what it means to be a feminist, then the Democratic party can have them.
Seriously.
This is a disgusting, deprived statement.
And it shows the open double-standard that Democrats have for Joe Biden.
According to Pollitt's statement, Democrats would apparently make excuse after excuse to vote for Biden even if he did something evil.
But these same far-left voters would never-in-a-million-years vote for Trump because of his perceived flaws.
It's truly sad.
More details on Pollitt's disturbin claim below:
As a feminist author, Pollitt has written extensively about abortion.
Her writings suggest that she is not only "pro-choice," but also appear to suggest that she champions women having abortions.
We wouldn't be surprised if she would be more inclined to vote for Joe Biden if he DID boil and eat babies.
The Hill has more details on the criticism Pollitt has received for her outlandish claim:
The Nation columnist Katha Pollitt has come under criticism for a column in which she wrote that she would "vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them" given the importance of ending President Trump's White House tenure.
"I would vote for Joe Biden if he boiled babies and ate them. He wasn't my candidate, but taking back the White House is that important," Pollitt wrote.
Pollitt also wrote that she would also vote for the presumptive Democratic nominee even if she believed sexual assault allegations leveled against him by former Senate staffer Tara Reade regarding an incident she claims occurred in 1993. Biden has staunchly denied the claim.
"I cannot believe that a rational person can grasp the disaster that is Donald Trump and withhold their support from Biden because of Tara Reade. I would say this even if I had no problems with Reade’s account — after all, Biden will be running against Trump, who has been accused of sexual misconduct by 25 women," she wrote.
Negative reactions to the column lit up social media.
Pollitt responded to the blowback by mocking her critics as "tender souls" who don't appreciate "dark humor."
Sorry, Pollitt.
There's nothing funny about murdering innocent babies and then eating them.
Dark? Sure.
But "humorous?"
No.
It's a tragedy that so many in the Democratic party think this way.
Are they really that desperate to hurt President Trump that they would openly accept and embrace evil acts of violence?!
In the same article, Pollitt appeared to suggest that voters should still vote for Joe Biden even if Tara Reade's allegations of sexual assault are real.
And this comes from a feminist!
According to Mediate, Pollitt wrote:
“Whether or not you believe Tara Reade … you should vote for Joe Biden if he is the nominee. … We do not have the luxury of sitting out the election to feel morally pure or send a message about sexual assault and #BelieveWomen. That will not help women at all. Or anyone else.”
The article was criticized by others in the media, including by The Hill Rising co-host Krystal Ball, who commented, “Democrats used to have contempt for what they viewed as stupid MAGA cultists who would vote for Trump even if he shot someone on 5th ave. Now they have become what they hated.”
Martin Tolchin, a veteran journalist who worked for The New York Times before helping found several prominent news websites, made similar remarks defending Biden from the sexual assault allegation earlier this month — rejecting calls for an investigation in case “damaging information” is revealed and hurts his election chances.
“I don’t want an investigation. I want a coronation of Joe Biden,” Tolchin wrote in a letter to the Times. “Would he make a great president? Unlikely. Would he make a good president? Good enough. Would he make a better president than the present occupant? Absolutely.”
“I don’t want justice, whatever that may be. I want a win, the removal of Donald Trump from office, and Mr. Biden is our best chance,” he added. “Suppose an investigation reveals damaging information concerning his relationship with Tara Reade or something else, and Mr. Biden loses the nomination to Sen. Bernie Sanders or someone else with a minimal chance of defeating Mr. Trump. Should we really risk the possibility?”
Democratic New Hampshire state Rep. Richard Komi also resigned this month after claiming women couldn’t be sexually assaulted without “some cooperation from the female herself,” in an effort to defend Biden.
Every day, it appears more and more like "feminism" may actually just be a branch of the Democratic party.
That would certainly explain the double-standard that feminists hold for Democrats vs. Republicans.
