The Democrats would-be SECOND attempt to impeach President Trump just hit a major road block.
The Supreme Court has blocked the House Democrats’ attempt to access top secret Muelle grand jury documents.
It’s no secret the Mueller probe was a dud.
If there was anything in those documents, then Mueller would have accused Trump of colluding with the Russians.
But because there was no evidence, the Deep State decided to go after Trump associates (like General Flynn) instead.
The Democrats are not hiding their motive.
The House Democrats ADMITTED to the Supreme Court that they may try to impeach President Trump again.
According to The Blaze:
House Democrats told the Supreme Court on Monday they need secret grand jury materials from the Mueller investigation to determine whether or not to impeach President Donald Trump again, CNN reported.
The House Judiciary Committee, led by ranking member Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), has been seeking to obtain the witness materials held by the Justice Department for months. Now, as the case is set to go before the Supreme Court, the committee is not shying away from saying they want the documents to see if new articles of impeachment can be brought.
In a new court filing, general counsel Douglas Letter, who was handpicked by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), wrote that “the Committee’s impeachment investigation related to obstruction of justice pertaining to the Russia investigation is ongoing.”
Well, if the Supreme Court has anything to say about it, the Democrats’ political witch hunt has been BLOCKED… for now…
It's sad...
As the entire nation suffers from COVID-19, the Democrats can only focus on one thing: destroying President Trump.
Fortunately, the Supreme Court sided with Trump and temporarily blocked their access to these top secret documents.
Fox News confirms that the House Democrats have until June 1 to make their case:
The Supreme Court temporarily denied a motion Wednesday from House Democrats to obtain grand-jury testimony and other documents from former Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation as they conduct what they've referred to as an "ongoing presidential impeachment investigation" into President Trump.
The court's order kept undisclosed details from the probe into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election out of the Democrats' hands until at least early summer. Democrats have until June 1 to brief the court about whether the full case should be heard.
The Democrats had told the court Monday they were in an "ongoing presidential impeachment investigation" while arguing that Mueller's now-completed Russia probe needed to be turned over as a result.
"The [House Judiciary] Committee’s investigation did not cease with the conclusion of the impeachment trial," the Democrats told the nine justices. "If this material reveals new evidence supporting the conclusion that President Trump committed impeachable offenses that are not covered by the articles adopted by the House, the committee will proceed accordingly — including, if necessary, by considering whether to recommend new articles of impeachment."
They were seeking testimony, transcripts and exhibits to look into the possible influence over decisions made in the prosecutions of longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone and former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.
The Justice Department recently dropped all charges against General Flynn.
Will the Democrats ever learn their lesson?
Every "scandal" that they try to create around President Trump or his associates eventually gets exposed as being a phony, make-believe scandal.
There has never been evidence of Trump-Russia collusion.
Now, more and more evidence suggests that the basis of the investigation was based on false information!
Yet... despite 3 years of witch hunts and 1 failed impeachment attempt, Democrats want to keep playing political games.
The USA Today confirms that the Supreme Court has stepped in on the behalf of Donald Trump:
The Supreme Court on Wednesday temporarily blocked Congress from obtaining secret grand jury material from the Russia investigation, putting on hold a lower court's ruling that would've allowed such disclosure while it decides whether to take the case on appeal.
House Democrats and the Justice Department have been locked in a legal battle over grand jury testimony gathered during former special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russia's interference in the 2016 election. In March, a federal appeals court in Washington, D.C., ruled that the House committee is entitled to the evidence.
The Justice Department is asking the Supreme Court to review the ruling. The high court gave the government until June 1 to file its legal papers arguing why the high court should take the appeal.
The House Judiciary Committee argued that the secret grand jury material "is central" to its inquiry into possible obstruction of justice by President Donald Trump and could reveal new evidence of impeachable offenses. If so, the committee said it will consider recommending new articles of impeachment.
After being impeached in the House, Trump was acquitted of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress in the Senate in February. The proceedings focused on the Trump administration's dealings with Ukraine.
The Justice Department said House Democrats aren't entitled to grand jury evidence because they have yet to explain which specific testimony they need access to or how it would help their investigation. Solicitor General Noel Francisco argued the House has no "urgent need of the requested materials for a hypothetical second impeachment."
Trump was vidicated from impeachment.
He was vindicated from "colluding" with the Russians.
It's time for Democrats to move on.
We're in the middle of a global health crisis.
AND we're less than half a year away from a presidential election.
Or is THAT why they're trying to impeach President Trump again?
Because they see a red wave coming in November?
Let's hope that's the case...
