Marie Yovanovitch Might Have LIED to Congress About Burisma Knowledge, New Emails Suggest

WOW.

It has NOT been a good week for Democrats.

First, it was revealed that corrupt FBI agents "set up" General Michael Flynn, which resulted in the Department of Justice dropping all charges against him.

Then on Tuesday, Republican Mike Garcia won CA-25 in a 12 point BLOWOUT, becoming the first Republican since 1998 to flip a California House seat.

And now…

It appears that the Burisma-Biden-Impeachment scandal is coming back to haunt not President Trump… but the entire Democrat party.

Newly released documents suggest that former Urkaine ambassador Marie Yovanovitch might have LIED to Congress about her Burisma knowledge.

During her Congress testimony, she said that she knew little to nothing about Burisma.

Now, emails obtained by Citizens United show that Marie Yovanovitch knew as early as 2016 that Hunter Biden was involved with Burisma.

It looks like the Democrats' house of cards is finally crumbling down.

More details on this stunning development below:

Given the rapid speed at which more documents are declassified, we wouldn't be surprised if there is more confirmation in the coming days that Marie Yovanovitch did indeed lie to Congress.

The documents reveal that Yonaovitch received MORE than 160 pages of emails, memos, and correspeondence related to Burisma in the fall of 2016 alone.

And yet she claims that she had little to no knowledge about it?!

Hmmm... the paper trail suggests otherwise!

The New York Post confirms that it is likely that Yovanovitch lied:

Ex-Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch may have lied to Congress about her knowledge of Burisma Holdings — with new documents revealing she received direct warnings about the Ukrainian gas company despite claiming to know little about it, according to a new report.

Emails obtained by Citizens United show Yovanovitch and the US Embassy in Kiev were told as early as 2016 that Burisma had placed then-veep Joe Biden’s son Hunter on its board and engaged an American firm with Democratic ties to rehabilitate its image, according to a report by Just The News.

During impeachment proceedings against President Trump in November, Yovanovitch told lawmakers that she knew little about Burisma Holdings and the long-running corruption probe against it — testifying under oath, “It just wasn’t a big deal.”

The top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, is calling on the State Department to release all documents related to the natural energy company, according to Fox News.

In a letter to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Jordan asked for any documents referring to Burisma and Hunter Biden to be released by May 28, the report said.

[...]

“It was not a focus of what I was doing in that six-month period,” she claimed.

But the 160 pages of emails and memos obtained by Citizens United show Yovanovitch was in contact with US officials about Burisma and also met with a representative from the Ukrainian company in her embassy office just 45 days before Trump took office.

“These new records clearly don’t support Ambassador Yovanovitch’s testimony under oath during [Rep. Adam] Schiff’s sham impeachment,” Citizens United president David Bossie told Just The News.

If this is true, then will Yovanovitch be prosecuted for lying?

We have seen endless witch hunts against President Trump and those closest to him based on accusations and conspiracy theories.

Yet.... right here... right now.... there is TANGIBLE evidence suggesting that Yovanovitch knowingly misled Congress.

The double standard must end!

Though Yovanovitch has remained out of the public sight since her testimony during the impeachment hearings, these newly released emails may once again bring her to the forefront of national politics.

How will she choose to explain the "more than 160 pages of emails, memos and correspondence in fall 2016 alone" on Burisma?

It does not compute with her claim that she knew little to nothing about it!

Fox News confirms that the Freedom of Information Act was invoked to get access to these emails:

“Burisma wasn’t a big issue in the fall … of 2016, when I arrived,” [Yovanovitch] said, noting that the investigation and details surrounding its closure “happened before I arrived.”

"It was not a focus of what I was doing in that six-month period," she said.

But through a Citizens United Freedom of Information Act request for emails related to Burisma sent by former deputy assistant secretary of state for Europe and Eastern Europe George Kent, the organization obtained more than 160 pages of emails and memos sent during the fall of 2016, including communications between Yovanovitch and U.S. Embassy officials about Burisma Holdings and documents indicating that she met with a representative of the firm at the embassy in December 2016.

The documents were first reported by John Solomon.

In September 2016, Yovanovitch received a letter from Burisma’s American lawyers, John Buretta of Cravath, Swaine and Moore law firm based in New York, alerting her that prosecutor Yuriy Lutsenko’s office was dropping a corruption investigation related to Burisma without filing charges. Buretta also called allegations against the firm’s founder “baseless.”

“We respectfully request that Your Excellency take into consideration these objective facts when considering the narrative promoted by some, and no doubt to be repeated again, in disregard of the facts and the law and the decisions by courts,” Buretta wrote the ambassador.

Yovanovitch appeared to forward the email to Kent, who then arranged a briefing for her to discuss the issues. Kent, before the briefing, wrote to colleagues the topics he hoped to discuss, which included “[Burisma founder Mykola] Zlochevsky/Burisma - asset recovery and past crimes of the Yanu regime as they intersect U.S. corporate/individual interest.”

In another email, Kent wrote to Yovanovitch that the briefing was “further to the Blue Star effort to rehabilitate the reputation of their non-client in the US, former ministry of ecologies Zlochevsky, who clearly has retained the services of a blue chip law firm and his energy company Burisma, which in turn has Hunter Biden on its board.”

Again... exposed emails threaten to expose Democrat corruption.

No wonder so many left-wing leaders prefer to use private servers hidden in their bathrooms!

Fortunately, the truth has a funny way of always wanting to come out and make its way known.

Whether it happens next week or next month, we expect that there will be more documented evidence showing exactly what Yovanovitch knew and when she knew it.
