California is living up to its claim of being a sanctuary state…
But fortunately citizens who love the Constitution and rule of law are fighting back!
Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom has been sued in an effort to stop him from giving a $75 million stimulus to illegal immigrants in the state.
If Newsom gets his way, then thousands of illegal aliens will benefit from hard-earned American dollars in this time of crisis.
Meanwhile, California's deficit continues to grow and the Californian government is looking for a bailout from the federal government.
Umm… perhaps if they focused on their own citizens instead of paying benefits to illegal aliens, they're budget problems wouldn't be so bad!
Judicial Watch filed a temporary restraining order to prevent the $75 million from being dispersed immediately.
More details on this looming legal fight below:
California, which is virtually run by Democrats at every level of government, has massive debt and budget problems.
Yet... their politicians want to virtue signal and send millions of American taxpayer dollars into the pockets of illegal aliens.
THEN they have the audicity to ask the federal government and the rest of the nation to bail them out!
This is insanity at its finest.
The Daily Caller has more on the tempoary restraining order and pending lawsuit against Governor Newsom:
A lawsuit seeks to stop Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom from doling out roughly $75 million in taxpayer funds to foreign nationals living unlawfully in the country.
Judicial Watch, a conservative legal firm, filed a temporary restraining order against Newsom to keep him from spending about $75 million of state taxpayer funds on direct cash benefits to illegal aliens, the firm announced on Tuesday. Judicial Watch is arguing that an emergency restraining order is necessary because Newsom’s administration will imminently begin distributing the cash benefits.
“Judicial Watch’s taxpayer clients asked for a temporary restraining order because Governor Newsom plans to rush plainly illegal direct cash payments, using taxpayer dollars, to illegal aliens,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said in a statement.
He continued: “The governor has no legal authority on his own to spend state taxpayer money for cash payments to illegal aliens, and coronavirus doesn’t give him or any other politician a pass to violate the law.”
Newsom in April announced that his administration would distribute $125 million in coronavirus-related assistance funds to illegal aliens. This disaster relief assistance program is a public-private partnership initiative, with California taxpayers ponying up $75 million and another $50 million covered by philanthropic donations.
The relief program is intended for illegal aliens living in the state who don’t qualify for the stimulus package Congress passed in March. Recipients can receive a one-time cash benefit of up to $500 and households can receive up to $1,000 to deal with the economic downturn caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.Newsom’s administration anticipates to dole out cash to roughly 150,000 illegal alien adults. Newsom, when announcing the program, said 10% of California’s workforce is undocumented.
To confirm, the $75 million will NOT be dispersed to legal American citizens living in the state of California.
Rather, if Democrat Governor Newsom gets his way, 150,000 aliens in the state illegally will get to enjoy that hard-earned tax payer money.
This isn't the only lawsuit facing Governor Newsom.
California salon owners are also suing him for the state's small business closure and reopening plan.
Salon owners say that Newsom's plan is "injustice."
According to Fox News, over 500,000 salon owners in California have joined this class action lawsuit against Newsom:
The Center for American Liberty filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday against California Gov. Gavin Newsom on behalf of the Professional Beauty Federation of California (PBFC) in an attempt to reopen hair salons statewide.
The organization, in collaboration with the Dhillon Law Group, represents more thn 500,000 hair salon owners who want salons to be reclassified from stage three in California’s reopening process, and be allowed to open now.
“They’re licensed professionals with degrees [in] safety and sanitation… it doesn’t make sense why nail & beauty salons remain closed, it's injustice," plaintiff attorney Harmeet Dhillon said at a press conference Tuesday.
The PBFC is using the slogan #OpenSalonsNow to promote the effort and encourage others to pressure to the governor to allow beauty salons to reopen.
California salons have been closed since March 19 when Newsom ordered the state's stay-at-home order.
Newsom announced a four-stage plan to reopen the state of California in late April, and stage two was initiated Friday. “Lower-risk workspaces” such as manufacturing and some retail that allow for curbside pickup were permitted to reopen.
It's time for our leaders to understand the concepts of liberty and personal freedom!
The mantra of "for the greater" good is a slippery slope to tyranny and excessive government power.
Remember, the government is supposed to work for us and represent us... not control us!
