12 POINT BLOWOUT: Republican Mike Garcia Flips CA-25, First GOP House Flip Since 1998

It is official…

After an incredibly nail-biting race, Republican Mike Garcia has flipped California's 25th district special election with a 12 POINT BLOWOUT!

This is the first time that a Republican has flipped a California House seat since 1998.

But even more notable, the Cook Political report and Larry Sabato's Crystal Ball said that the polling indicated that CA-25 odds would "lead Democratic" victory.

Sound familiar?

It wasn't even close! It wasn't even a toss-up.

Garcia's commanding 12 point victory is a huge rallying cry for Republicans leading up to the November presidential election.

And this happened in California!

Trump supporters and Constitutional-loving Americans are alarmed at the big government expansion and tyranny on full display during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This proves that Trump's supporters are as fired up as ever!

More details on Garcia's HISTORIC victory below:

CBS News confirms that the last time a Republican flipped any California House seat was in 1998.

Democrats want us to believe that Trump is extremely unpopular and hurting Republicans down-ballot, but the exact opposite appears to be true!

Republicans and Constitution-loving Americans are fired up and are showing up at the polls to protect their liberty and their rights!

Politico confirms that Democrat Christy Smith has FINALLY (more on that below) conceded the race:

Republicans have won a special election for Congress in Southern California, reclaiming a suburban House seat that they lost to Democrats in the 2018 midterms.

Democrat Christy Smith, a state assemblywoman, conceded defeat to Republican Mike Garcia Wednesday, one day after the closely watched special election runoff for the seat vacated by former Rep. Katie Hill, who resigned last year.

Despite Mike Garcia's incredible 12 point blowout, Christy Smith initially refused to concede the race.

So why didn't Christy Smith initially concede?

Well, not every vote-by-mail ballot had been counted.

Mailed ballots were elibigle as long as they were received by Tuesday and received by Friday.

However, Smith would have to win 97% of all the vote-by-mail ballots in order to win the election.

Many Republicans were worried that if Smith did not concede, ballot harvesting might occur and election fraud might happen.

After all, Smith didn't win any county with 97% of the vote, so it was highly unlikely - if not impossible that she would win 97% of the mailed ballots.

Fox News reports that the Republican party called on Smith to concede:

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is calling on Democratic House candidate Christy Smith to concede after the California 25th Congressional District special election Tuesday as her opponent, Mike Garcia, holds a significant lead with 143,000 ballots counted.

"Christy Smith needs to do the right thing for the first time in this campaign and concede the race to fighter pilot Mike Garcia," NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer said in a statement Wednesday. "Christy Smith cannot win, and the math shows this."

The statement sent around by the NRCC cites a post from California Target Book's Rob Pyers, which says that Smith would need to win 97 percent of the outstanding ballots if turnout in the election matches that from the March primary. Pyers later clarified that if the turnout in the special election matched that of the November 2018 general election, Smith would only need 57 percent of remaining ballots.

Either way, Smith will likely have a hard time coming back to top Garcia, who leads with 56 percent of the vote as 143,000 ballots are counted. Mailed ballots can count as long as they are postmarked by Tuesday and received by Friday.

President Trump also declared victory on behalf of Garcia in a Wednesday morning tweet.

"Big Congressional win in California for Mike Garcia, taking back a seat from the Democrat," Trump said. "This is the first time in many years that a California Dem seat has flipped back to a Republican. Also, Tom Tiffany beat his Democrat rival BIG in Wisconsin. Two great Congressional WINS!"

Fortunately, Smith did the right thing and we can rest assured that there was no ballot harvesting in CA-25.

Congratulations to Mike Garcia for your historic win!
