Trump’s Fox News Town Hall Breaks Most-Watched Viewership Record, 4.2 Million Tune In

President Trump participated in a town hall on Fox News and made history… again!

This time, Trump helped deliver the highest ratings ever for any town hall in history.

According to data from Nielsen Media Research, 4.2 million viewers tuned into the town hall with the president, which was hosted in Scanton, PA.

Of the 4.2 million viewers who tuned into Fox News, 744,000 were in the coveted 25-54 age demographic.

To put this into perspective, 1.4 million viewers tuned in to MSNBC and fewer than 1 million viewers tuned into CNN during the same time.

See more details below!

During the town hall, President Trump discussed many topics such as the coronavirus, his combative style, and who he would prefer to take on in the general election.

Audience members were allowed to ask questions, and the moderators were widely praised for a fair and balanced town hall.

The Hill has more details on the massive ratings the president delivered for Fox News:

Fox News's town hall with President Trump delivered 4.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched town hall of the 2020 campaign cycle, according to early data from Nielsen Media Research.

MSNBC was second in total viewers during the time slot with 1.44 million total viewers, followed by CNN's 1.03 million.

The Trump event moderated by "Special Report" anchor Bret Baier and "The Story" anchor Martha MacCallum from Scranton, Pa., also delivered 744,000 viewers in the 25- to 54-year-old demographic sought by advertisers, topping rivals CNN and MSNBC combined, which registered 251,000 and 239,000 viewers in the category, respectively.

The event with Trump surpassed the previous high for a town hall this cycle, when 2.6 million viewers tuned in to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) in April 2019.

During the town hall, Trump promised to "protect your Social Security and Medicare, just as I have for the past 3 years."

The location for the town hall was especially notable, since Pennsylvania will likely be another battleground this November.

The White House published a transcript of the remarks by President Trump at the Fox News town hall in Scranton, PA.

The historic ratings mean that people are still interested in what Donald Trump has to say.

This is incredibly important heading into the general election.

While Democrats and their allies in the media look for every opportunity to twist and misrepresent the president's statements and actions, he continues to be the most accessible president ever by speaking straight to the American people.

No wonder 4.2 million people tuned into Fox News!

Deadline also reports that Bernie Sanders will be appearing at a town hall on Fox News. Will Crazy Bernie be able to pull the same historic ratings?

Fox News said that its town hall with President Donald Trump on Thursday had 4.2 million, the most-watched town hall in cable news history.

The network also announced a town hall on Monday with Bernie Sanders.

The viewership figures were early numbers from Nielsen.

Bernie Sanders will headline a Fox News town hall on Monday in Detroit, on the eve of the Democratic primary in the state.

This will be Sanders’ second town hall this cycle with the news outlet. Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will moderate the event, starting at 6:30 PM ET.

Sanders’ town hall with Fox News last April drew nearly 2.6 million viewers, making it the most watched of the cycle. But the final numbers still have not come in for President Donald Trump’s town hall in Scranton, PA on Thursday night.

While Sanders tries to spread his socialist message, President Trump will continue to promote the case for freedom to the American people!
