Do you recall Schiff’s impeachment abuse?
During the impeachment circus on Capitol Hill, Schiff obtained the phone records of as many people in Trump’s orbit as possible.
And of course, President Trump himself was targeted.
So was his personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani.
Well, Judicial Watch wants to hold Representative Adam Schiff accountable for his impeachment abuse.
Schiff has been rocked by a major lawsuit.
You can see all the details below:
It's not just Adam Schiff.
Judicial Watch is also suing the House Intelligence Committee for being complicit in the alleged abuse scandal.
During the hoax impeachment scandal, Democrats repeatedly told us that the "President is not above the law."
Of course he's not.
That's why the Senate acquitted him: because he did not commit an impeachable offense.
Yet, while the Democrats were on their high horse, Judicial Watch wants to remind Schiff and Congress that they are not above the law:
Judicial Watch announced it today filed a lawsuit against Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and the House Intelligence Committee for the controversial subpoenas issued for phone records, including those of Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer. The phone records led to the publication of the private phone records of Giuliani, Congressman Devon Nunes, journalist John Solomon, Trump attorney Jay Sekulow, attorney Victoria Toensing, and other American citizens.
Judicial Watch filed the lawsuit under the public’s common-law right of public access to examine government records after it received no response to a December 6, 2019, records request (Judicial Watch v Adam Schiff and U.S. House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (No. 1:19-cv-03790)):
All subpoenas issued by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on or about September 30, 2019 to any telecommunications provider including, but not limited to AT&T, Inc., for records of telephone calls of any individuals; All responses received to the above-referenced subpoenas.
Schiff is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, currently serving as Chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Schiff is being sued in his capacity as Chairman of that committee. The new lawsuit states:
The records are of critical public importance as the subpoenas were issued without any lawful basis and violated the rights of numerous private citizens.
Disclosure of the requested records would serve the public interest by providing information about the unlawful issuance of the subpoenas.
The requested records fall within the scope of the public’s right of access to governmental records as a matter of federal common law.
WOW!
Thank you Judicial Watch for staying true to your commitment for transparency, integrity, and honesty in government!
Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch rang the alarm at a speech he presented at CPAC, claiming that "our Republic is under assault" from the Deep State, including figures like Schiff.
CPAC brings together thousands of conservative leaders from across the country.
Many of these activists look up to Fitton as a leader and invaluable voice of the cause.
At CPAC, Tom Fitton tore into Schiff, warning that if his abuse goes unexposed, then it will enable future abusers to harrass Trump:
And let’s not forget our favorite – Adam Schiff. Adam Schiff is ethically compromised and lied six ways to Sunday about Russia, Trump, and Schiff’s leaker ally in the CIA. We’re suing to hold him accountable. But the DOJ should also be looking at him, too. And President Trump should cut off Schiff’s access to classified information!
And, of course, there is the heavy lifting by Judicial Watch to expose the abuse of the president. Who needs an IG when you have Judicial Watch? We exposed that the FBI, in a joint operation with the Clinton campaign, paid the foreign spy Steele for dirt on Trump. That’s right – your tax dollars helped pay for Hillary Clinton’s foreign spy to target President Trump. We also exposed that the FISA warrant fraud and the fact the FISA court held not one darn hearing on spy warrants targeting candidate Trump and then President Trump. And we exposed how Bruce and Nellie Ohr funneled misinformation into the DOJ and FBI in order to try to implicate Trump. We uncovered that Bruce Ohr got a $28k bonus in the middle of the Russiagate spying on Trump – and then got a raise AFTER he was removed for improperly colluding with Clinton spy Christopher Steele. Why is Ohr still at DOJ!
I tell you what – the best FISA reform would be to prosecute those who illegally spied on President Trump (and Lord knows who else) – to prosecute the Spygate ring and put them in jail.
Unfortunately, the Justice Department has been frozen when it comes to prosecuting the REAL bad guys. Comey got a pass. McCabe got a pass. And there’s no evidence of major prosecutions against any other significant players. Worse yet, the Justice Department is STILL protecting Hillary Clinton as Judicial Watch forces out more emails and more evidence of criminal conduct. The statue of limitations has not run on Hillary Clinton, by the way!
I offer a compromise – perhaps President Trump can stop tweeting when the Justice Department starts prosecuting.
President Trump is cleaning up the swamp...
And we're glad we can count on allies like Judicial Watch to man the trenches!
