It got heated today on The View.
Not that I was watching, but I watched the clip after it went viral and it sure seems to me like Whoopi and others were very disrespectful to Meghan McCain.
Watch the short clip here:
Our friends over at Trending Politics had more on the story:
During "The View" on Monday morning, far-left host Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain went head to head during a fiery exchange.
Goldberg lost her composure when McCain mentioned that at least half of America doesn't think that the impeachment proceedings against the President are fair. Recent polling proves McCain to be correct.
While discussing the ongoing impeachment inquiry, McCain tried to give her conservative outlook on it however the left-wing members of The View couldn't handle it.
“I implore everyone to stop being partisan on both sides,” McCain said, urging the other members to have open minds.
Whoopi Goldberg chimed in shortly thereafter to say: “Stop saying I’m not gonna look at the evidence, you just can’t do that, that’s not the American way… It’s not even hypocrisy, it is the thing that has scared everyone, which is this divide that you talk about all the time.”
“Me?” McCain questioned.
“Yeah, you talk about it all the time,” Goldberg replied.
McCain responded: “I spend my time around conservatives,” she said. “…There are a group of people in this country that think this is completely partisan on the left as well. I’m not saying what Lindsay Graham said was OK because I disagree with. it. Go back to again, a president who perjured himself in my lifetime. …By the way, Trump wants a long impeachment process because it’s good for him and it’s helping his numbers.”
Liberal show host Sunny Hostin then brought up the debunked Democrat talking point and said that President Trump “used a foreign government to impede our very democracy. That is the height of hypocrisy for this Republican-led Senate.”
McCain replied: “My job here is not to litigate the ethics of it,” she said. “I’m an ABC political analyst along with being a View co-host. My job is to analyze the politics of it.”
As McCain and Hostin started sparring, Goldberg jumped in to target McCain: “Girl…please stop talking, please stop talking right now!” Whoopi Goldberg scolded.
“No problem,” McCain said. “I won’t talk for the rest of the show.”
“I’m OK with that. I’m OK with that,” she said. “If you’re going to behave like this…”
“I’m not behaving like anything,” McCain interrupted.
“You are, you are talking over,” Goldberg said. “What you’re doing…we’re not doing anything, how about this, former FBI, we’ll be right back."
