If you read that headline and immediately bells went off in your head about how stupid that sounds, congratulations, you’re probably a Republican!
And you probably have common sense!
Because only the Democrats could waste the resources to send FIFTEEN Democrats halfway across the “globe” to attend some summit about climate change.
Talk about “hot air”!
Take a look:
According to Pelosi's own statement that she released today, here are the members of Congress who will be attending the trip:
Speaker Nancy Pelosi is leading a bicameral Congressional Delegation to Madrid, Spain for the 2019 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, known as COP25.
“It is a privilege to accompany a high-level Congressional delegation to Spain to combat the existential threat of our time: the climate crisis,” said Speaker Pelosi. “On behalf of the United States Congress, I extend my gratitude to the Spanish government for hosting this critical meeting, and for elevating the priority of the climate crisis to the forefront of the international conversation.”
“Taking action to protect our planet is a public health decision for clean air and clean water for our children, an economic decision for creating the green, good-paying jobs of the future, a national security decision to address resource competition and climate migration and also a moral decision to be good stewards of God’s creation and pass a sustainable, healthy planet to the next generation,” Speaker Pelosi continued. “On behalf of the U.S. Congress, I am proud to travel to COP25 to reaffirm the commitment of the American people to combating the climate crisis.”
The Members of the Congressional Delegation are:
- Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)
- Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI)
- Chairman Frank Pallone (D-NJ), Committee on Energy and Commerce
- Chairwoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX), Committee on Science, Space, Technology

And from the NY Post:
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is jetting off to sunny Spain this week to talk about climate change — leaving looming issues like impeachment, federal budget appropriations and the USMCA trade treaty behind.
Only seven voting days remain on Congress’ calendar before lawmakers leave Washington, DC, for their Christmas recess.

The House Judiciary committee will begin its impeachment hearings on Wednesday, as the conference continues.

The Trump administration is sending its own delegation to Madrid, led by Ambassador Marcia Bernicat, a State Department deputy — even though President Trump has started the process of withdrawing the US from the Paris climate accord.
Teen climate activist Greta Thunberg is 18 days into her sailboat trip across the Atlantic, making her way to the conference by climate-conscious means.
Many people online also saw the hypocrisy and responded with Tweets like this:
Bingo! We have a winner:
Because it's not about climate change, it's about a free trip on the taxpayer's dime:
Vote out the Dems:

Proudly Support Trump!
The exact same hat our President wears!
