President Trump is fighting back against the “Fake Media” with everything he’s got, and that includes getting the Washington Post and New York Times out of all federal agencies and offices.
The White House reports this will save taxpayers HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of dollars!
Oh my goodness!
I work damn hard for my money and it’s been going to pay for stupid newspaper subscriptions?
CANCEL CANCEL CANCEL!
Thank you President Trump!
Here's more, from The Hill:
The White House is urging federal agencies not to renew their subscriptions to The New York Times and The Washington Post after President Trump said earlier in the week he didn't want either newspaper in the White House.
"Not renewing subscriptions across all federal agencies will be a significant cost saving for taxpayers - hundreds of thousands of dollars," press secretary Stephanie Grishamsaid in a statement.
The Wall Street Journal first reported the news.
The move marks an escalation of the White House's battle with the media, and with The New York Times and Washington Post in particular. The two news outlets have been among the leaders in reporting on controversies inside the administration, and Trump regularly attacks both on Twitter.

The president has decried the Times as "the enemy of the people" and the Post as a lobbying arm of Amazon in reference to its owner, Jeff Bezos. Trump has also singled out specific reporters from each outlet on Twitter.
Trump in an interview broadcast Monday night told Sean Hannity of Fox News that the White House would "probably terminate [The New York Times] and The Washington Post.”
Grisham later confirmed that the White House had canceled its subscriptions, and neither publication was among a stack of papers in the press office on Thursday morning.

Confirmed by CBS:
The White House is directing federal agencies to cancel their subscriptions to The New York Times and The Washington Post, two flagship newspapers that consistently break news about and relevant to the president's administration.
The plan, first reported by The Wall Street Journal on Thursday and confirmed by CBS News, was floated by President Trump earlier this week in an interview with Fox News. The Post and the Times are some of his favorite targets to denigrate as "fake news."

"The media is corrupt. Not all media," Mr. Trump told Fox News' Sean Hannity. "Look, I know some — some great people, including you, but I know some great journalists. ... The New York Times, which is a fake newspaper — we don't even want it in the White House anymore. We're going to probably terminate that and The Washington Post. They're fake."
White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham said the decision was driven by money.
"Not renewing subscriptions across all federal agencies will be a significant cost saving for taxpayers — hundreds of thousands of dollars," she said in a statement.
