Independent Analysis Says Fox News Impeachment Poll Was “Fatally Flawed” and Not Reliable!

A Fox News poll meant to survey Americans to find out what percentage of our nation wants President Trump impeached now appears to have been set up in such a way that Trump could not win.

The impeachment poll suggested that 51% of Americans want Trump impeached from office.

However, details have emerged about the party-affiliations of those who took the poll now casts doubt on that statistic.

See, the poll seems to have been skewed in Democrats’ favor, with 48% of those surveyed for the poll identifying as Democrat, 40% as Republicans, and only 12% as Independents.

This is in stark contrast to latest Gallup survey on American party-affiliations, which shows that 31% of Americans identify as Democrats, 29% as Republicans, and 38% as Independents.

This is HUGELY problematic since it means that Fox News’ poll was in effect, not representative of Americans and was weighted against Trump. Which means, it’s as good as garbage!

Independents, in particular, were extremely underrepresented in the Fox News impeachment poll, even though, as Trump War Room noted on Twitter, the majority of Independents OPPOSE impeachment of President Trump:

Fox News seems to be headed the way of CNN, joining the ranks of mainstream media trying to make the news, not report on it!

Turns out that Trump was probably spot-on about Fox News when he tweeted out, "Whoever their Pollster is, they suck!"

The New York Post has more to say about the misrepresentative Fox News impeachment poll:

The poll said 51% of voters were in favor of Trump’s impeachment and removal from office, while 40% did not want him impeached.

Princeton, New Jersey, pollster Braun Research, which conducted the survey, noted 48% of its respondents were Democrats. But the actual breakdown of party-affiliation is 31% Democrat, 29% Republican and 38% independent, according to Gallup.

A poll weighted for party affiliation would have concluded that 44.9% favored impeachment and 44.4% opposed it, a Post analysis has concluded.

Breitbart also said:

Fox News released a poll this week which found that 51 percent of registered voters want President Trump impeached and removed from office, while 4 percent want Trump impeached but want him to stay in office, and 40 percent of voters oppose impeachment. The Fox News poll found that supposedly showed a double-digit increase in the number of voters who wanted Trump impeached and removed from office.

However, according to a New York Post analysis, Fox News misrepresentedAmericans’ alleged support for impeachment.

Braun Research, the pollster firm that conducted the survey, noted that 48 percent of its respondents were Democrats; however, the Post revealed that the “actual breakdown” based on party affiliation is 31 percent Democrat, 29 percent Republican, and 38 percent independent.

The Post noted that, when weighting the poll for party affiliation, would have revealed that only 44.9 percent of Americans, or less than a majority, back impeachment of President Trump. Forty-four percent of Americans oppose impeachment, according to the Post‘s analysis.

What do you think happened with the Fox News poll?

Was it rigged on purpose?
