Physical attacks on Trump supporters are happening more and more frequently in the U.S. despite liberals claiming the opposite – that they’re the ones being “brutally oppressed” under the Trump regime!
Especially in big liberal-run cities, it is literally dangerous to wear a MAGA hat in public.
Just one month ago, the owner of a New York art gallery was attacked on the streets and had his head bashed into a pole over the pro-Trump hat he was wearing.
Now, over the weekend, a man in Portland was attacked by several people at a bar while on a date with his wife. According to him, the reason for the attack was his Make America Great Again hat.
Luke Lenzer stated that he and his wife had gone to a Portland bar past midnight, were told it was closing, and on their way out were confronted by a woman,
“The lady asked me, ‘Is that a MAGA hat?’ I pointed at the top of my hat and said, ‘Yes it is.’
Then the next thing I know she’s running around the corner attacking me trying to take my hat off. People surrounded, started surrounding me and my wife and calling my wife a whole bunch of names — ‘racist b—-,’ pardon my language. But yeah, ‘white trash’ and they’re calling me a racist person.
They don’t even know me. I’m not racist whatsoever. And next thing I know when I have all these people around me, I get sucker-punched by the guy with the beard right in the nose.”
Local news source KATU has more details on the attack:
Two people were charged with third-degree assault after a Southeast Portland man claimed they attacked him for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
Prosecutors say the suspects are Leopold Hauser, 22, and Adebisi Okuneye, 23.
Hauser told a KATU reporter Monday that he disputes the claims made by the alleged victim, Luke Lenzner. He said Lenzner was the aggressor during the incident, which Lenzner denied.
Portland police said the incident happened outside the bar Growler's Taproom on the 3300 block of Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard at just after midnight Saturday morning.
"I want to make America great again," Lenzner told a KATU reporter Monday, saying he wears the hat because he supports President Donald Trump.
Lenzner said he and his wife were having a date night when they went to the bar for a drink. He said the bartender told them they were closing so they went to leave. As he walked out he said a customer, Okuneye, talked to him.
"The lady asked me, 'Is that a MAGA hat?' I pointed at the top of my hat and said, 'Yes it is,'" Lenzner said. "Then the next thing I know she's running around the corner attacking me trying to take my hat off... People surrounded, started surrounding me and my wife and calling my wife a whole bunch of names -- 'racist b***,' pardon my language. But yeah, 'white trash' and they're calling me a racist person. They don't even know me. I'm not racist whatsoever. And next thing I know when I have all these people around me, I get sucker-punched by the guy with the beard right in the nose."
That suspect with the beard, Hauser, denied Lenzner's claims. Lenzner said Hauser broke his nose.
The Washington Examiner also said:
Two people in Portland were charged with assault after they allegedly assaulted a man wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat.
Adebisi Okuneye, 23, and Leopold Hauser, 22, appeared in court Monday on third-degree assault charges after they punched Luke Lenzner in a bar for wearing the hat supportive of President Trump, according to the Oregonian.
Hauser admitted to Portland police the pair were "mean mugging" because of the political statement of the "MAGA" hat. "Arms were flying everywhere," Hauser added.
Okuneye said Lenzner had come up to her and said, “(expletive), do you like my hat?” An argument then commenced, which culminated with punches being thrown. Hauser and Okuneye are set to be indicted on Sept. 6.
