I have to laugh every time someone like Ilhan Omar claims people only criticize her because she’s a woman.
The problem isn’t that she’s a woman – it’s that she’s an insane woman.
While she can’t seem to go more than a couple of weeks without making a comment perceived to be anti-Semitic, she apparently has similar disdain for America’s protectors.
According to IJR, a tweet from 2017 showed what Omar really thinks about American troops; that they’re terrorists.
Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) is at the center of yet another controversy after an investigative report found a 2017 tweet where she appeared to criticize the role of American troops during the Battle of Mogadishu in Somalia in 1993.
In the tweet, Omar accuses American troops of having perpetrated the world terrorist attack in Somalia’s history.
That’s a particularly dumb comment because Somalia is home to extremist group Al-Shabab, a faction of Al-Qaeda responsible for hundreds of attacks in the country. That apparently doesn’t bother her – as Omar has joked about Al Qaeda being a legitimate threat before.
Early during the presidency of Bill Clinton, American forces became involved in a brief conflict after Somali warlord Mohamed Farrah Aidid attacked U.N. peacekeepers. The battle lasted 18 hours and resulted in the deaths of 18 American soldiers and hundreds of Somali people. During the battle, two Black Hawk helicopters were shot down, setting the basis for the film “Black Hawk Down.”
Following a back and forth between two Twitter users about the horrific 2017 bombings in Mogadishu that left hundreds dead, Omar joined in with another Twitter user and appeared to compare the casualties from the terrorist attack to the actions taken by “American forces” at the Battle of Mogadishu.
The offending tweet, which has received nearly 8,000 negative comments, can be seen below:
In his selective memory, he forgets to also mention the thousands of Somalis killed by the American forces that day! #NotTodaySatan https://t.co/wrFocrZymQ

For as liberal a place as Twitter is, Omar found few supporters defending her comment.
This is a 2017 tweet, in the interest of full disclosure.
But still.

Omar infamously accused American Jews of having a “dual-loyalty” to Israel.
Even if that were true – at least those Jews have a loyalty to America.
It’s becoming increasingly doubtful the same can be said about Omar.
