In September of 2018, President Trump said he was ready to order the declassification of the Carter Page FISA documents.
Then almost as quickly as he said it, he walked it back.
Many were upset at the time, but trust me, it was a wise move.
He had to wait for the Mueller report to wrap up to ensure it couldn’t be twisted against him.
Guess what?
The Muelelr Report is DONE and now we’re moving!
Take a look:
ABC3340 reported more details:
With the contents of the Mueller report now public, President Trump and key White House aides are said to be taking a fresh look at declassifying documents that GOP allies believe will expose unlawful actions at the Department of Justice and the FBI purportedly taken against the Trump campaign in 2016.
With the Mueller report complete, is another investigation looming?
Attorney General William Barr has already begun investigating the investigators at both the DOJ and FBI.
DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, probing the same matters, is said to be drafting his final report, due within six weeks or so.
Any declassification by the president is expected to occur around that time and to focus on the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in October 2016.
James Comey was the FBI Director fired by President Trump.
Andrew McCabe, a Deputy Director fired for unauthorized disclosures to the news media.
James Baker was FBI General Counsel, Peter Strzok and Lisa Page were senior FBI officials caught texting about their antipathy for Donald Trump when they were conducting investigations into him and Hillary Clinton. All have denied wrongdoing.
Adam Schiff, the Democratic chair of the House Intelligence Committeethis week dismissed the Republicans' allegations and cast the Attorney General as a political animal
The House Intelligence Committee has formally invited Special Counsel Mueller to testify on the counterintelligence investigation.
For the White House and Congressional Republicans, the forthcoming Inspector General report is an eagerly anticipated event, with the outstanding questions being whether Michael Horowitz will find any wrongdoing, and whether that will entail criminal referrals for potential prosecution.
After a two year investigation, the public deserves the facts, not Attorney General Barr’s political spin.
The Gateway Pundit had more:
According to ranking member of the House Intel Committee Devin Nunes there is exculpatory evidence in the 20 redacted pages of the Carter Page FISA docs.
The first FISA warrant was issued on Carter Page in October of 2016, just weeks before election day.
Obama’s corrupt FBI and DOJ obtained a FISA warrant and THREE subsequent renewals on Carter Page.
It is also important to note that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and Andrew McCabe signed the June 2017 FISA renewal –one month after Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate Trump-Russia collusion.
According to Mueller’s report, the allegations against Carter Page used to justify the FISA spying campaign against him were FALSE.
“The investigation did not establish that Page coordinated with the Russian government in its efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election,” the report stated.
Under the law, the FBI must go back to the FISA court every 90 days and present the FISA judge with enough evidence that the subject may be acting as a foreign agent in order to obtain a renewal on the spy warrant.
What evidence did the FBI present to the FISA judges on FOUR separate occasions that enabled the FBI to obtain a total of FOUR spy warrants on Carter Page if the allegations against him were false??
Trump hinted Friday that a storm is coming when he tweeted, “It is now finally time to turn the tables and bring justice to some very sick and dangerous people who have committed very serious crimes, perhaps even Spying or Treason. This should never happen again!”
James Rosen confirmed:
And here's even more, from the Daily Caller:
President Donald Trump told Sean Hannity on Wednesday that he will declassify FBI- and FISA-related documents, now that special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation has concluded.
“I have plans to declassify and release. I have plans to absolutely release,” Trump said, adding that he wanted to declassify documents in 2018 but was told by his lawyers not to do it during the Mueller investigation.
“One of the reasons that my lawyers didn’t want me to do it, they said if I do it, they will call it a form of obstruction, so they will say, oh, you released these documents so we would make all of this information transparent,” Trump said of his lawyers advice, declaring, “But at the right time, we will be absolutely releasing it. I did the right thing by not doing it so far.”
Trump originally was set to declassify multiple documents related to the FBI investigation of his presidential campaign in 2016. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a September 2018 statement that the documents include “the following materials: 1. pages 10–12 and 17–34 of the June 2017 application to the FISA court in the matter of Carter W. Page; 2. all FBI reports of interviews with Bruce G. Ohr prepared in connection with the Russia investigation; and 3. all FBI reports of interviews prepared in connection with all Carter Page FISA applications.”
