Don’t ya love it?
Even the Democrats are coming around to the idea of the wall.
And also to Ted Cruz’s brilliant “El Chapo Act” which is new proposed legislation that would use the seized assets from El Chapo (some estimates put them at $14.8 billion) to build the wall on the Mexico/U.S. border!
Since Democrats are known for being against the wall, it made news when CNN host Brianna Keilar asked Democrat Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL) if he supported the idea behind the El Chapo Act.
His answer?
“Why not?”
Exactly!
Well said Senator.
Why not indeed.
The only reason not to would be obstruction and resistance and hatred of Donald Trump.
And none of those are good answers.
The Western Journal had more on the story:
CNN host Brianna Keilar asked Democrat Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (IL) about the idea, and his answer may surprise you.
“Senator Ted Cruz has said that convicted drug kingpin El Chapo should pay for the wall,” Kellar began. “This is what he tweeted. He said, ‘let’s pass the EL CHAPO Act and make El Chapo pay to secure our border.’ It’s getting a lot of attention, but do you think that that is any sort of serious proposition?”
“Um…Very interesting,” Krishnamoorthi responded. “I don’t know how much El Chapo has, but if he wants to, if we can use his money instead of taxpayer money to fund this particular appropriations package, why not?”
Uh-oh. Someone’s going to get a phone call. The only acceptable answer to this question is as follows:
“Walls are racist. They don’t work. They’re too expensive. Drones. Walls work when Jim Acosta touches them. They’re immoral. I have one around my house because climate change. Vegan. Did I mention Trump is a racist? Because Green New Deal and $15 dollar minimum wage.
To sum up: We should eliminate the internal combustion engine and have solar-powered gender-neutral bathrooms.”
One assumes that Nancy Pelosi will brief Rep. Krishnamoorthi on the correct answer to border wall questions at the earliest possible moment.
