And his reaction to Alec Baldwin’s arrest displayed both of those traits.
In case you missed it, Alec Baldwin, infamous for his horrible President Trump impersonation on SNL, was arrested today for assault.
Or as one reporter put it, for “punching a guy out”.

So much anger. So much violence.
It bubbled up again today through the fists of Alec Baldwin.
President Trump was asked his reaction and it sounded like he hadn’t yet heard the news, but he still had the perfect response: “I wish him luck!”

President Trump remarked about Alec Baldwin's arrest on Friday moments after news emerged that the actor had been taken into custody in New York.
“I wish him luck," Trump told reporters on the South Lawn of the White House.
The 60-year-old actor was arrested following a dispute over a parking spot, authorities in New York City told The Hill.
Police said that an argument over a parking spot led to a man allegedly being punched after getting the disputed space.
Baldwin was taken into custody and charges are pending as the investigation continues, according to police.
Trump has previously feuded with the Emmy Award-winning actor over his portrayal of the president on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," calling it "terrible."
The president's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. blasted Baldwin amid news of his arrest on Friday, calling him a "piece of garbage."
"He’s a lib so he gets chance after chance to be decent but always fails!" Trump Jr. tweeted.
