You’ve probably had the experience of flipping through cable networks late at night to get political news. Fox is running a story on the economy, and MSNBC is running another prison documentary.

Where oh where to find some delicious Democrat tears and Trump hate? Why, CNN, of course!

CNN’s Dana Bash on Tuesday praised President Trump after a bipartisan meeting on immigration.

Bash said the meeting, in which Trump and lawmakers said they settled on parameters for a deal involving border security and protections for “Dreamers,” gave a glimpse into a leadership style that many Trump supporters had hoped for.

“I’m sure i’m going to get hit for this and I don’t really care,” Bash said. “The bottom line is … this is the presidency that many people thought Donald Trump was capable of.”

Bash said that the lengthy presence of press in the room allowed them to have a “fly on the wall” look at what she said “really was a negotiation.”

“I’m really not convinced that it would have been any different had the cameras not been in there,” she said. “Whether it sees fruition or not, this is what people who had high hopes for the Trump presidency thought it would be: meeting after meeting like this.”

Bash’s comments were rare praise from a network that is consistently at odds with the president.

“I’m sure I’m going to get hit for this” might have been directed at Bash’s bosses at CNN and not the general public.
