Kanye West Posts First Message On Parler

After being censored on Twitter and Facebook Kanye West is now posting on Parler.

Kanye who legally changed his name to Ye now posted his first status on Parler and it was none other than Romans 8:31 which says ” If God is for us, who can be against us?”

The post by Ye comes just days after rumors surfaced that he plans to buy the app.

The CEO of Parler is Candace Owens’s husband George Farmer and as of right now it appears Farmer and West are planning to ink a deal sometime soon.

At the height of censorship in 2020, Parler was one of the most downloaded apps but that growth was stunted after Parler was taken off the app store only to be put back on months later.

Parler has never really recovered since that moment and competitors such as Truth Social, Gab, Telegram, and Gettr have all seen more users than Parler as of late.

NBC had these details to add:

he rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has agreed to acquire the conservative-oriented social media app Parler, the platform announced early Monday.

Parler is a controversial alternative to apps such as Twitter and Facebook and touts itself as a “free speech” and “uncancelable” space. It was forced offline last year for its ties to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.

The move comes a week after the rapper was locked out of his Twitter account and restricted on Instagram amid a backlash over antisemitic posts.

Parlement Technologies, the parent company of Parler, announced “it has entered into an agreement in principle to sell Parler” to Ye, who has been “taking a bold stance against his recent censorship from Big Tech.”

CNBC shared these details about Parler announcing Ye buying the app:

Kanye West, the superstar rapper who has made several inflammatory and antisemitic comments in recent weeks, has agreed in principle to buy conservative social media platform Parler, the app’s parent company said in a statement Monday.

“In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” said West, who now goes by Ye, in a statement released by Parler.

Financial terms of the deal weren’t announced. The company previously said it had raised $56 million in funding from outside investors.
