Brace Yourselves: Biden’s Failed Deal Will Send Prices Soaring Even Higher

It’s official: we are living in an Ayn Rand novel…

If you thought that the Biden Presidency couldn’t get any worse, I got news: you thought wrong—things have not yet hit rock bottom for the big guy and his crony administration.

Not too long ago, it was feared that railway strikes, organized by union labor, would bring the nation’s railway systems to a screeching halt.

The Biden administration rushed in with high hopes of attempting to broker a deal between the unions and the railways; it was widely reported that disaster was averted because of Biden’s deal…

I know, I was shocked too…

Things seem to be back to business as usual as of Monday—the railroad deal has completely fallen apart and fears of a looming railway strike have once again gripped lawmakers.

A railway strike would further exacerbate pressures on supply chains and send consumer prices soaring even higher amid already skyrocketing inflation.

Rep. Jim Jordan warned Americans earlier today:

Others were sympathetic to the plight of the railway workers and unionized labor. The complaints center around a lack of paid time off and cohesive break policies.

Will the management and the unions actually reach an agreement independent of a government-brokered deal?

Not everyone was so convinced:

The Associated Press reports:

Over half of track maintenance workers represented by the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employes Division who voted opposed the five-year contract despite 24% raises and $5,000 in bonuses.

Union President Tony Cardwell said the railroads didn’t do enough to address the lack of paid time off — particularly sick time — and working conditions after the major railroads eliminated nearly one-third of their jobs over the past six years.

Breitbart concludes:

But the union’s rejection of the deal sets Biden back and again raises the possibility of a national rail shutdown which would cripple the economy right before the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays.
