Will Gavin Newsom Primary Biden In 2024?

Biden is not only facing trouble in 2024 from Trump but reports have surfaced that Democrat governor of California Gavin Newsom is looking to primary Biden.

Insiders within Newsom’s camp have revealed that Gavin is looking to primary Biden for the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee.

Users on Twitter are even calling for Newsom to run and are claiming he’s their best chance to defeat Trump in 2024.

Take a look:

Imagine that, the Democrat’s “only hope” is a governor who almost got recalled.

GV Wire had more on the story:

AdImpact, a website that tracks political media spending, tweeted Monday that Gov. Gavin Newsom will begin running cable television ads in Florida on July 4.

The report inspires many interesting questions.

Is Newsom prepping to run for president in 2024 or 2028? Is he using the ads to enhance his status as perhaps the Democratic Party’s top-ranked pugilist against the Republicans in the national culture wars? Or is Newsom delivering a pre-emptive strike against Donald Trump possibly announcing his presidential bid, as has been rumored, on July 4?

Newsom has said several times that he wouldn’t challenge President Joe Biden in 2024. And, if Biden decides against a re-election bid, political insiders say it’s highly unlikely that Newsom would step on the presidential aspirations of Vice President Kamala Harris, a fellow California Democrat.

AdImpact later tweeted that the Newsom ad buy was for $105,000 on Fox News — suggesting that the governor is eager to attack Republicans on culture war issues such as abortion and gun control.

Sun Sentinel had more on the story:

Why is the campaign to reelect California Governor Gavin Newsom buying TV ads in Florida?

Newsom’s people aren’t saying, and the ads haven’t aired yet, but political watchers can’t help speculate that the California governor might be positioning himself for a 2024 presidential run, according to SFGate.com.

Tropical Storm Bonnie could develop in next day. Two other systems brewing, but one could fizzle out

Or it might be just another round in his ongoing beef with Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.

The ads will start airing July 4 on Fox News in Florida, SFGate reported. The airtime cost the Newsom campaign about $105,000, mediumbuying.com tweeted.
