New Press Secretary Brags About Her Race and Sexuality, Then Gives Incoherent Answer to Question About Inflation

Jenn Psaki is officially out as White House press secretary.

Replacing her is a much more ‘diverse’ individual.

Karine Jean-Pierre held her first official press briefing as the White House press secretary on Monday.

In her opening statement, she highlighted her race and sexual orientation as if they were important factors for holding the position.

“I am obviously acutely aware that my presence at this podium represents a few firsts. I am a black, gay, immigrant woman, the first of all three of those to hold this position,” she bragged.

She continued on about how the Biden Administration is “the most diverse administration in history.”

When it came time to actually perform her duties, Jean-Pierre struggled to answer a question from Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy about inflation.

Doocy asked how Biden’s plan to raise taxes on corporations would reduce inflation.

Jean-Pierre’s answer left something to be desired…

Fox News reports on Jean-Pierre’s opening statement as press secretary:

New White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre pointed to her race and sexual orientation during her first opening remarks on the job, thanking those who fought for the progress that allowed her to fill her new role.

“I am obviously acutely aware that my presence at this podium represents a few firsts. I am a black, gay, immigrant woman, the first of all three of those to hold this position,” Jean-Pierre said during her first briefing Monday. “I would not be here today if it were not for generations of barrier-breaking people before me. I stand on their shoulders.”

So how did Jean-Pierre do when she was actually asked an important question about Biden’s plan to raise taxes on wealthy corporations to fight inflation?

Jean-Pierre seemed to be caught off guard by the question.

Among some incoherent rambling, she repeated the popular democrat talking point that corporations just need to “pay their fair share.”

She ultimately landed on the idea that it’s not fair for cops or manufacturing workers to pay more taxes than the wealthy.

Well, she got all the democrat buzz words into her answer…

Here is the tweet Doocy was referencing in his question:

It didn’t get much better from there for the new press secretary…
