Almost 1 Million non-US Citizens Could Soon Vote in NYC Elections

We did it, Joe!

This is exactly the kind of stuff that President Trump warned us against and no one took him seriously.

A Bill in New York is now considering letting over 800,000 non-US citizens or legal residents vote in local elections.

Watch how the story is developing:

Looks like Dems are gearing up for the midterms and if that proves successful then watch out for 2024.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Kamala Harris won in 2024 at this point.

At this rate, non-US citizens in Somalia could just mail in ballots.

Here’s Fox News with the full scoop:

New York City may soon permit hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to vote in municipal elections, while Mayor Bill de Blasio and his successor, Eric Adams, feel differently about the prospect.

The bill aims to amend the city’s charter by including a new chapter with provisions for allowing green card holders and those with work authorization to register to vote and take part in citywide elections through the creation of a separate municipal voter registration. Adams supported the concept when he was campaigning for mayor earlier this year.

“We cannot be a beacon to the world and continue to attract the global talent, energy and entrepreneurship that has allowed our city to thrive for centuries if we do not give immigrants a vote in how this city is run and what our priorities are for the future,” Adams said in February, according to the New York Daily News.

The New York Times reports that the bill would allow an estimated 808,000 noncitizens to vote.

The bill says residents must be living in the city for at least 30 days prior to an election. It also specifies that it only applies to municipal elections and calls for a separate form of voter registration to reflect that.

“Nothing in this chapter shall be construed so as to confer upon municipal voters the right to vote for any state or federal office or on any state or federal ballot question,” the bill says.

Wait did I read that right? 30 Days?

So a non-US citizen who just recently became a ligel resident in say Iowa or Texas can drive up to New York, stay there for 30 days and vote in local elections?

How does that represent the people of New York and their wishes?

So people born and raised in New York have the same voting privileges as someone who is not a US citizen who moved to the city 30 days ago!

Remember when Trump brought this up and everyone just called it fake news?

Here’s an old USA Today “fact check” on the claim:

Experts say the lawsuits will likely fail, but a public policy research firm found merit in the Trump campaign’s complaints.

An estimated 234,570 extra votes were cast by noncitizens in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania, enough to deliver a win for President-elect Joe Biden, according to a report from Just Facts Daily. The website is an extension of conservative-leaning research institute, Just Facts.

The claim is similar to one put forward by the Trump campaign after the 2016 election. Trump lost the popular vote, the campaign said, because noncitizens accounted for more than 800,000 votes for then-Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton. Snopes debunked this claim in 2017.

Guess it’s not fake news after all huh?

This is just the beginning.

This issue like all leftist issues will follow the same liberal agenda they have been implementing for 40 years.

First, you put something through that is borderline at best.

Once the bar has been set low enough, then you push through everything else.

They did it with gay marriage, they did it with covid mandates, and now this.

Don’t be surprised when millions of illegal and undocumented immigrants are legally allowed to vote in 2024.
