RED WAVE RISING: Lori Lightfoot Booed Off the Stage for First Time Ever in Chicago

A red wave is coming.

If Democrats are getting booed off the stage in deep-blue cities, then you know their days are numbered.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was speaking at a union fundraiser.

Keep in mind that the unions overwhelmingly support Democrats.

Well, at the fundraiser, things got so bad that Lori Lightfoot was booed off the stage.

That’s right:

We’re not talking about a few boos.

The whole place was booing so loudly that Lori Lightfoot had to leave the stage.

Sound too good to be true?

Well, see it for yourself:

People who were in attendance described it as “almost deafening.”

Does that sound like a popular Democrat to you?

The local Chicago Sun Times reports:

Mayor Lori Lightfoot was booed at a fundraiser Sunday for Plumbers Union Local 130, the first union to endorse her in the 2019 runoff election against Toni Preckwinkle.

One attendee, who asked to remain anonymous, described Lightfoot as having been “booed off the stage” at the annual event at Plumbers Hall, 1340 W. Washington St., to raise money for Local 130’s political action committee — though a union official disputed that account.

The person requesting anonymity said Lightfoot “spoke for less than a minute. And there was a resounding booing throughout the room. Almost deafening, … I was sitting at the table with a bunch of plumbers. They’re like, `We’ve never heard that before here.’ … Clearly, their membership is not with her. … They were calling her names. It was bad.”

Pat McCarthy, the union’s recording secretary, acknowledged Lightfoot was booed during halftime of the Bears’ loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But McCarthy also insisted the mayor was “able to finish her remarks, got a cheer at the end,” then returned to her seat and watched the rest of the game.

“I was there when she was speaking. There were a couple of people in the corner that booed. But it was nothing significant. And it didn’t disrupt the event at all,” McCarthy said.

“I would have to suspect whoever was booing at that event was not a member of this local. … We respect her and we have no problems with the mayor.”

Ald. Silvana Tabares (23rd), however, said a close friend who attended the event showed her a video of the mayor being booed.

Can you imagine if President Trump or any of his supporters got booed in a deep red state?

The media would cover it and mock it nonstop!

That’s exactly what happened to Lori Lightfoot.

She’s in Chicago, which is very liberal…

AND she’s at a union dinner!

Of course, the mainstream media appears to be covering up this embarrassing dinner.

The only national outlet that appears to have picked this up is Fox News.

Fox News confirms the boos were “almost deafening”:

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot was drowned out by boos during a union fundraiser over the weekend.

The Democratic mayor got an unwelcome reception at an annual fundraiser Sunday for Plumbers Union Local 130, the first union that endorsed her 2019 runoff election, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

One attendee, who asked to remain anonymous, told the outlet that Lightfoot was “booed off the stage” after speaking for less than a minute.

“Almost deafening,” the person said. “I was sitting at the table with a bunch of plumbers. They’re like, `We’ve never heard that before here.’ … Clearly, their membership is not with her. … They were calling her names. It was bad.”

Video purportedly taken at the event circulated on social media Wednesday after being picked up by conservative media. It showed Jim Coyne, the union’s business manager, introducing Lightfoot and a loud round of boos erupting as she took the podium.

“I knew that was going to happen,” one person said off camera in the video.

“That’s f—-ing brutal,” another person said in the video.

Union officials downplayed the boos. Pat McCarthy, the union’s recording secretary, said Lightfoot was able to finish her remarks.

“I was there when she was speaking. There were a couple of people in the corner that booed. But it was nothing significant. And it didn’t disrupt the event at all,” McCarthy told the Sun-Times. “I would have to suspect whoever was booing at that event was not a member of this local. … We respect her and we have no problems with the mayor.”

Here’s the truth:

If “popular” Democrats are being booed at union dinners inside blue cities, it means a red wave is coming.

It will be overwhelming.

2022 and 2024 can’t come soon enough!
