Defiant Ohio Sheriff Says ‘No’ to Enforcing Vaccine Mandates

Unconstitutional COVID-19 mandates are being forced on citizens throughout the country.

It’s become increasingly common for state, county, and city leaders to throw their support and compliance behind these mandates.

One sheriff in southwest Ohio has a completely different perspective though.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, who had already said no to enforcing mask mandates, had this to say about vaccine mandates:

“If you want to be vaccinated, that is your right as an American citizen. If you do not want to be vaccinated, I believe that is your right as an American citizen as well.”

Sheriff Jones also said that he is not the “shot police,” and will not enforce the shot.

Fox 8 News has the latest on this defiant sheriff's stance against mask mandates:

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, who previously declared he is not the “mask police,” said he is not the “vaccine police.” He said his office will not be checking vaccine cards at businesses.

“I have received the vaccine, I’m not opposed. With that being said, if you want to be vaccinated, that is your right as an American citizen. If you do not want to be vaccinated, I believe that is your right as an American citizen as well,” Jones said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Butler County Sheriff who made headlines in 2020 after he declared himself as not a member of the "mask police" or the "curfew" police is once again turning heads for his position against vaccine mandates.

On Tuesday, Sheriff Richard K. Jones released a statement on Facebook stating that he does not intend to be a part of the "vaccine police" as mandated vaccines become more common across the state and the country.

"We are not the vaccine police. The Sheriff's Office will not be going door to door and we will certainly not be checking vaccine cards before you enter a restaurant or any other establishment for that matter," the statement reads.
