Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) Heckled for Saying: “Don’t Kid Yourself” the 2020 Election “Absolutely NOT a Stolen Election”

Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is learning the hard way that you should never stab your constituents in the back.

Dan Crenshaw used to be a staunch conservative.

He used to appear to be on the MAGA train and to support Trump’s America first agenda.

However, it appears that Crenshaw wants to abandon President Trump.

At a recent rally, Crenshaw claimed that the 2020 presidential election WASN’T stolen.

Despite the fact that he had no evidence to back up his claims, Crenshaw told the crowd that Biden won the election fairly.

Well…

The people weren’t having it.

And Dan Crenshaw was heckled. Big time.

See the incredible moment below:

Ever since that moment, there has been a grassroots movement to primary Crenshaw and have him voted out of office.

The people are ANGRY!

The Hill has more details on the brutal heckling of Dan Crenshaw:

Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) was heckled by a fringe Senate candidate at a GOP fundraiser in Illinois on Wednesday evening for firmly rejecting unfounded conspiracy theories that the 2020 election was stolen from former President Trump.

During the fundraiser in Rosemont, Ill., Crenshaw was asked by another attendee if he thought the 2020 election was stolen.

“There’s certain cities with problems, but don’t kid yourself into believing that’s why we lost. It’s not. It’s not,” Crenshaw said.

Bobby Piton, a long-shot Republican candidate running for Senate in Illinois who has claimed without evidence that Trump will be reinstated to the presidency this year, then yelled repeatedly, “You’re wrong.”

“I’ll tell you openly. I’ll tell you, and I’m not wrong,” Crenshaw pushed back.

“Yes you are. I have plenty of proof. I have proof in Arizona, Pennsylvania and Georgia,” Piton responded, citing the audit of ballots cast in Maricopa County, Ariz. “And guess what, it’s going to turn out and it’s gonna flip. You watch. You’re gonna see firsthand.”

“It won’t. It won’t,” Crenshaw said dismissively. “And you’ve gotta flip all five states.”

Crenshaw then sought to make clear that Republicans shouldn’t buy into conspiracy theories that Trump lost reelection because of widespread voter fraud.

“This is something you gotta accept. Is there a lot of voter fraud? Yeah, there probably is. Enough that Trump won? No, absolutely not. Absolutely not. Five different states? Hundreds of thousands of votes? You’re kidding yourself,” Crenshaw said.

Unlike most House Republicans, Crenshaw voted to certify President Biden’s electoral victory on the night of the Jan. 6 insurrection.

But Crenshaw did sign onto a lawsuit by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton that attempted to invalidate the election results in four swing states — Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin — that Biden won.

The Supreme Court ultimately rejected Paxton’s lawsuit and stated that “Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another state conducts its elections.”

If Dan Crenshaw is going to make outlandish claims, then he must provide the evidence!

Mike Lindell, for example, has provided plenty of evidence regarding voter fraud at his cyber symposium.

Perhaps Crenshaw should attempt to debunk the facts that Lindell has presented!

Or Crenshaw can provide evidence of his own.

But he hasn’t.

Dan Crenshaw COULD have had a future in the Republican party.

But after backstabbing President Trump and his supporters, he’s learning how quickly the tide can turn.

Even NBC News is confirming that the Crowd turned on Crenshaw after his unsubstantiated claims:

Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, was heckled at a fundraising event on Wednesday night when someone in the audience refuted him for saying the 2020 presidential election wasn’t stolen.

In the clip, posted to the YouTube channel of U.S. Senate candidate Bobby Piton, Crenshaw says, “Don’t kid yourself into believing that’s why we lost. It’s not.” Piton then appears to interrupt Crenshaw by shouting, “You’re wrong” and saying he has “plenty of proof” the election was fraudulent.

“5 different states? Hundreds of thousands of votes? You’re kidding yourself,” said Crenshaw.

Former President Donald Trump and his allies filed dozens of lawsuits contesting the results of the November election and the overwhelming majority were unsuccessful. The Supreme Court in March rejected the last remaining challenge to the election.

Piton, who is running for office in Illinois, made an appearance at one of Rudy Giuliani’s election hearings to erroneously attack the voter data in Arizona.

In November, Crenshaw called for limiting mail-in voting nationwide and adding voter ID requirements and a national voter database. But more recently, Crenshaw signaled it was time to move past Trump and questioning the 2020 election results.

“Look, he’s, he’s one of many leaders in the party. He’s a former president. We’re five months into President Biden’s presidency, and there is a time to move on,” said Crenshaw during a May interview with Meet the Press.

The incident comes on the heels of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., saying voting rights legislation will be the Senate’s first priority when it returns from recess in September. The Senate passed a sweeping Democratic budget resolution along party lines early Wednesday.

So what do you think?

Is Crenshaw a RINO?

Did he misspeak?

Do you still trust him to represent you?
