Trump Praises U.K. New Election Integrity Proposals

I’m not a big fan of the U.K.’s monarchy system but their new election integrity proposals are what we need here in the United States.

President Trump thinks so too!

In his latest statement, Trump made it clear he supported U.K.’s new proposal that will ensure election integrity.

The U.K.’s new election integrity proposal will allow citizens to vote only if they have a photo I.D. in hand.

It’s crazy to think about how we don’t even need an I.D. to vote here in America in some states.

Maybe that’s why Biden and Harris aren’t doing anything about the Border crisis.

The New York Post covered Trump’s statement, check out what they reported:

President Donald Trump gave his full support Tuesday to British legislation that would require UK voters to show a photo ID in future elections — and called on all US states to follow suit.

“The Government of the United Kingdom is proposing that anyone who wants to vote in a British election should show photo ID to eliminate any corruption and fraud and ‘ensure the integrity of elections,’” Trump said in a statement emailed by his office. “This is exactly what we should do in the United States, unlike the Democrats who want to abolish Voter ID laws with passing their horrible HR 1 Bill.”

Queen Elizabeth II formally announced the voter ID proposal by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s government earlier Tuesday in her annual Queen’s Speech, which outlines the government’s legislative priorities at the ceremonial start of the new parliamentary session. Johnson’s Conservative Party holds a massive 80-seat majority in the British House of Commons and could pass voter ID legislation without any help from the opposition parties.

Here’s Trump’s full statement:

The AP News added more details on U.K.’s new voter integrity proposal:

The British government has announced contentious plans to toughen election voting rules by requiring photo identification at polling stations, a move it says will protect the democratic system against electoral fraud.

But opponents and civil liberties groups say the law proposed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservative government could disenfranchise millions of voters, particularly the poor and members of ethnic minorities.

The government’s legislative agenda for the next year, announced Tuesday, includes a plan to tighten election rules for postal and proxy voting, and to require electors in U.K. general elections to show photo ID at polling stations. At present, Northern Ireland is the only part of the U.K. that requires voters to prove their identities at polling stations.

Environment Secretary George Eustice said Wednesday that the changes would “protect the integrity of our electoral system” against fraud and had “nothing to do with party interests.”

President Trump and other Republicans were called racist when they tried to talk about election integrity proposals.

Just look what happened when Georgia made some new election integrity laws the far left completely boycotted Georgia and even moved the MLB all star game from there.

I wonder if the “progressive” movement in the U.K. will do the same or maybe they have some common sense.
