Woah!

President Trump recently encouraged former NFL star Herschel Walker to run for Georgia’s Senate.

In a letter, Trump stated “Wouldn’t it be great if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia.

Trump went on to say  “he would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs”.

He would be unstoppable.

Herschell is a living legend in the state of Georgia and not only that he’s a down-to-earth human being who always gives back to his community.

Here’s Trump’s full statement here:

Fox News covered the story and dropped these details:

President Trump called on former NFL player Herschel Walker to run for Senate in Georgia, where he would face Sen. Raphael Warnock, D, who won his seat in a special election this year and will have to defend it in 2022.

“Wouldn’t it be great if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia?” Trump wrote in an official statement. “He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run, Herschel, Run!”

Former Sen. David Perdue, R, has ruled out a run in 2022, but Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Rep. Doug Collins, who lost a primary to Loeffler, are both mulling another run. A run for her old seat is “certainly on the table,” Loeffler told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution last month. “Am I open to considering a run for the Senate or governor? Yes,” Collins told the Journal-Constitution.

The Hill wasn’t silent either and added these details:

President Trump is urging retired NFL star Herschel Walker to run against Sen. Raphael Warnock (D) in Georgia, touting a close ally in a crucial midterm election.

“Wouldn’t it be fantastic if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL,” Trump said in a statement. “He is also a GREAT person. Run, Herschel, run!”

Walker, who played for various NFL teams from 1985 to 1997, has been a longtime friend of the former president following his stint with the USFL’s New Jersey Generals, which Trump owned, and his days on the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition.

Herschel Walker had President Trump’s back the night of the RNC and gave an excellent speech.

Do you remember?

If not take a look back at Walker’s speech the night of the RNC:
