Long time talk show host Larry King has died in Los Angeles.

The veteran talk show host dedicated his life interviewing presidents, celebrities, and world leaders on CNN at a time when CNN was more politically neutral than it is today.

As of right now, no cause of death has been given.

CBS broke the story, sharing these details:

Veteran talk show host Larry King died early Saturday in Los Angeles, according to Ora Media, a production company King formed. He was 87.

In a statement posted on Twitter, the company said King died at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He was first reported to be hospitalized there in early January after contracting COVID-19, and moved out of the intensive care unit two days later. No cause of death was given.

“Whether he was interviewing a U.S. president, foreign leader, celebrity, scandal-ridden personage, or an everyman, Larry liked to ask short, direct, and uncomplicated questions,” the statement says. “He believed concise questions usually provided the best answers, and he was not wrong in that belief.”

Fox News covered the story also:

Larry King, legendary talk show host and a broadcast pioneer, died Saturday at the age of 87.

“With profound sadness, Ora media announces the death of our co-founder, host, and friend Larry King, who passed away this morning at age 97 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles,” his company said in a statement posted to Twitter.

“For 63 years and across the platforms of radio, television and digital media, Larry’s many thousands of interviews, awards and global acclaim stand as a testament to his unique and lasting talent as a broadcaster,” the statement said.
