Gov. Dunleavy Says Alaska Will Join The Texas Lawsuit That Aims To Overturn The Election

The Gov. of Alaska has finally come to his senses and now is supporting the Texas lawsuit.

Republican Governor Mike Dunleavy has announced that  Alaska will join the Texas Lawsuit that aims to overturn the results of the presidential election.

Alaska’s Department of Law stated they wanted to support the lawsuit earlier but a narrow timeline prevented them from doing so.

It’s better late than never!

Alaska Gov. Mike Dunleavy announced his state will join a lawsuit attempting to overturn the results of the presidential election, days after Dunleavy said there is an “outside chance” Joe Biden will become the next U.S. president.

Dunleavy released a statement Thursday saying Alaska had joined a Texas case challenging election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin and Michigan.

“While this case concerns election integrity, it also has an impact on state’s rights,” Dunleavy said.

Signing onto cases involving “the inner workings of other states” should not be taken lightly by Alaskans, Dunleavy said.

“However, the issue of election integrity impacts all of us, and the question of free and fair elections must be answered in order for all Americans to have confidence in our system,” Dunleavy said. “We hope for an expedited decision from the Supreme Court.”

The Texas lawsuit demands that the 62 total Electoral College votes from the four states be invalidated. That’s enough, if set aside, to swing the election to Trump.

The State of Alaska has joined the Texas lawsuit on election integrity.

“Alaska submitted a letter to the United States Supreme Court that adds Alaska to the list of amici states supporting Texas in its lawsuit against lawsuit against Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin,” the Department of Law said in a statement.

“I agree with the attorney general that the integrity of this election is a critical bedrock principle of our republican form of government,” said Gov. Mike Dunleavy. “There are too many critical questions that need to be answered to give the American people confidence that their vote counts.”
