It’s about time the GOP is getting involved in Michigan.

A major development is forming in the state of Michigan regarding the election.

Michigan GOP Lawmakers are asking for an audit of election results due to mass allegations of voter fraud that occurred all throughout the state.

The audit comes after weeks of fraud and voting irregularities allegations that have been popping up all across Michigan the most notable being in Antrim County where 6,000 votes were taking away from Trump and given to Biden due to a glitch in the election software.

Fox 2 News covered the GOP’s request for a full audit and shared these details:

Michigan GOP senators Lana Theis and Tom Barrett are requesting an election audit citing anomalies like the documented Antrim County ballot processing problem and numerous allegations of state election discrepancies.

In a letter to Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson Thursday, the two are “urging” her for an official audit before the State Board of Canvassers certify the 2020 General Election results.

“Every citizen deserves to have faith in the integrity of the election process and its outcome,” Thies and Barrett wrote. “It is our responsibility, as elected public servants, to assure the people of Michigan of the process’s integrity through complete transparency and the faithful investigation of any allegations of wrongdoing, fraud, or abuse.”

In Antrim County a glitch caused thousands of ballots to be wrongly counted for the opposing candidate. Antrim is one of 47 counties in the state to use Dominion Voting Systems to process ballots. Dominion has been a flashpoint for controversy with questions being raised around the country about security issues or even a software problem.

The Detriot News covered the story and had this to share:

Two Republican senators have asked Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson to perform an audit of the Nov. 3 election prior to certification of results, citing more than 100 affidavits filed in various lawsuits challenging the vote-counting process in Detroit and elsewhere.

Sens. Lana Theis of Brighton and Tom Barrett of Charlotte hand-delivered the letter Thursday, asking for an audit in light of a software glitch in Antrim County and numerous allegations arising from the absentee ballot count at TCF Center in Detroit.

“These claims deserve our full attention and diligent investigation to ensure fairness and transparency in our election process,” Theis and Barrett said in their letter.

Benson’s office did not immediately commit to the audit or the timing of it.

“We’re reviewing the request in the letter while the canvass proceeds, which itself is an audit,” said Tracy Wimmer, a spokeswoman for Benson.
