For the first time ever the Florida Police Chief Association decided to endorse a presidential candidate.
They realized the times we are in and officially endorsed President Donald Trump for re-election.
President Trump was unable to make the endorsement ceremony but gave them a surprise call and showed his appreciation for the endorsement.

The Miami Herald exclusively covered the story and added these details:
President Donald Trump hoped to travel to Florida this weekend for his first rally since announcing he had contracted COVID-19 a week ago.
Instead, the president found himself addressing about a dozen law enforcement officials in Miami-Dade County by speakerphone Friday, as his team worked to pull together a visit to Florida for next week.
“I look forward to seeing you personally,” Trump told the group, gathered on the second floor of a Hialeah police equipment retail outlet to announce an endorsement by the Florida Police Chiefs Association.
Trump had told Fox News on Thursday evening that he hoped to return to Florida as early as Saturday, the day his physician said would be the earliest possible date the president could resume public events after testing positive for the novel coronavirus.

The Florida Police Chiefs Association officially endorsed President Donald J. Trump in his bid to stay in the White House.
Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi was on hand Friday to accept the endorsement from the third largest association in the state of Florida.
And, then, the unexpected phone call from the president.
“You know, especially in Florida, it means so much to me. I really appreciate it. You do a great job. Really courageous people and it’s an honor,” Trump said on the call as Bondi held out the phone on speaker so everyone in the room was able to hear.
He couldn’t hang up without a quick jab.
“They’re finding out Sleepy Joe is not the answer. He’s not the answer,” Trump said on the call.
It’s no surprise police unions and associations around the country are endorsinging President Trump.
Biden and the Democrats have said openly they will defund the police.
