Democrats sure do spend a lot of time worrying that Republicans won’t accept the results of an election.
Yet every election, it seems Democrats are the ones who can’t accept defeat.
At the DNC Convention occuring this week, Stacey Abrams, the famous loser of the Georgia election for governor, will be speaking alongside several Democrat governors.
Here’s the details from Fox News on Abrams’s speech:
Stacey Abrams and 16 other “rising stars” in the Democratic Party delivered an opening keynote address on the Democratic Convention’s second night, with the former Georgia gubernatorial candidate ripping President Trump as a “president of cowardice.”
In her speech, Abrams called the president a “man who only knows how to deny or distract.”
“Do we want a leader who only cares about families or a leader who only cares about himself?” Abrams asked, contrasting Joe Biden and President Trump.
In quick remarks, the rising stars listed policy proposals the former vice president would espouse, and Abrams, a voting rights activist, said that in a time of “voter suppression,” Biden would “defend our way of life by protecting our right to vote.”
“This nation belongs to all of us. In every election we choose who we will create a more perfect union,” Abrams continued. “This year’s choice could not be more clear.”
The address featured brief highlights from each of the 17 rising stars singing the praises of their party’s presumptive nominee. “There is one person that is looking out for us – all of us,” they said in unison. “And that is Joe Biden.”
It comes at no shock that one of the main subjects of Abrams’s speech was…voter suppression!
Ever since she lost, Abrams has maintained that the only reason she isn’t Governor of Georgia is because her opponent somehow suppressed voters.
Apparently Abrams was never taught that nobody likes a sore loser.
Many on Twitter hilariously pointed out the fact that Abrams was the only non-governor to speak on the panel:
You can watch Abrams's pathetic speech in its entirety right here:
Abrams wasn't the only loser featured at the convention.
None other than Hillary Clinton took time out of her schedule not being President of the United States to make a speech as well!
Similar to Abrams, Clinton's speech makes it appear that she believes she really did win the 2016 election and Trump somewhow sneakily stole it from her.
CNN provides the following transcript from Clinton's speech:
Remember: Joe and Kamala can win 3 million more votes and still lose. Take. It. From. Me. We need numbers so overwhelming Trump can't sneak or steal his way to victory. So text VOTE to 30330 and let's go win.
One hundred years ago yesterday, the 19th Amendment was ratified. It took seven decades of suffragists marching, picketing, and going to jail to push us closer to that more perfect union. Fifty-five years ago, John Lewis marched and bled in Selma because that work was unfinished.
Tonight I am thinking of the girls and boys who see themselves in America's future because of Kamala Harris—a Black woman, the daughter of Jamaican and Indian immigrants, and our nominee for Vice President of the United States. This is our country's story: breaking down barriers and expanding the circle of possibility.
So to all the young people: Don't give up on America. Despite our flaws and problems, we have come so far. And we can still be a more just and equal country, full of opportunities previous generations could never have imagined.
There's a lot of heartbreak in America right now—and the truth is, many things were broken before the pandemic. But, as the saying goes, the world breaks everyone at one point or another, and afterward, many are stronger in the broken places. Joe Biden knows how to heal, because he's done it himself.
So come November, we will be strong together. We will heal together. We will redeem the soul and promise of this country together. We will elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris—together.
Seeing a common theme here?
It's Democrats that can't get over their losses!
