A fish rots from the head down, so they say…
If that's the case, then FBI misconduct in the case of General Michael Flynn was likely not an anomaly, but perhaps part of the culture under President Barack Obama.
Corrupt FBI attempted to frame and "set up" General Flynn, new documents suggest.
Well, it wasn't to get Flynn to tell the truth. Rather, these FBI agents explicity stated that they wanted to get Flynn "to lie" so they could take him down.
So… this raises the question…
What exactly did former President Barack Obama and former VP Joe Biden know about the fraudulent case against General Flynn? And when did they know it?
Mark Levin demanded these answers on Fox News' Hannity.
Watch the interview below:
Levin called the scandal "Obama's blue dress ... without the DNA on it."
This is a reference to Monica Lewinski's blue dress from Bill Clinton's Oval Office scandal.
According to Fox News, Levin is demanding that Obama and Biden be asked about what they knew about the Flynn case:
Fox News host Mark Levin said on Thursday that former President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden should be questioned about their involvement with the FBI’s misconduct in the Michael Flynn prosecution.
“We’re supposed to believe that during the Obama administration, the FBI went rogue, the Department of Justice went rogue, the CIA went rogue, the DNI went rogue, the NSC went rogue … and Barack Obama didn’t know anything?” the conservative radio host asked on “Hannity.”
“The fact of the matter is they have never been asked about the role they had, any knowledge they had, those presidential briefing documents have never been made public. This is a massive cover-up of the greatest scandal in American history,” Levin said.
The Justice Department on Thursday moved to drop its case against former national security adviser Michael Flynn, in a stunning development that came after internal memos were released raising serious questions about the nature of the investigation that led to Flynn’s 2017 guilty plea of lying to the FBI.
The announcement came in a court filing "after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information," as the department put it. DOJ officials said they concluded that Flynn's interview by the FBI was "untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI's counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn" and that the interview was "conducted without any legitimate investigative basis."
Levin also suggested that while Democrats were focused on Trump and Russia, they may have been covering up their own interference in the 2016 election.
Spies were planted into the Trump campaign and lies were made to a federal court in order to investigate Trump and those closest to him.
Due to all of this, Levin has been calling these efforts a "silent coup."
The new documents also suggest that a meeting at the Obama White House on January 6, 2017 was of paramount importance.
An analysis of the timeline suggests that key law enforcement and intelligence officials were coordinating to undermine the incoming Trump administration's ability to run the country.
According to The Federalist:
Information released in the Justice Department’s motion to dismiss the case it brought against Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn confirms the significance of a January 5, 2017, meeting at the Obama White House. It was at this meeting that Obama gave guidance to key officials who would be tasked with protecting his administration’s utilization of secretly funded Clinton campaign research, which alleged Trump was involved in a treasonous plot to collude with Russia, from being discovered or stopped by the incoming administration.
“President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia,” National Security Advisor Susan Rice wrote in an unusual email to herself about the meeting that was also attended by Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, FBI Director James Comey, and Vice President Joe Biden.
A clearer picture is emerging of the drastic steps that were taken to accomplish Obama’s goal in the following weeks and months. Shortly thereafter, high-level operatives began intensely leaking selective information supporting a supposed Russia-Trump conspiracy theory, the incoming National Security Advisor was ambushed, and the incoming Attorney General was forced to recuse himself from oversight of investigations of President Trump. At each major point in the operation, explosive media leaks were a key strategy in the operation to take down Trump.
Not only was information on Russia not fully shared with the incoming Trump team, as Obama directs, the leaks and ambushes made the transition chaotic, scared quality individuals away from working in the administration, made effective governance almost impossible, and materially damaged national security. When Comey was finally fired on May 9, in part for his duplicitousness regarding his handling of the Russia collusion theory, he orchestrated the launch of a Special Counsel probe that continued his efforts for another two years. That probe ended with Mueller finding no evidence of any American colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election, much less Trump or anyone connected to him.
While the Trump-Russia hoax was covered breathlessly by the news media, much less attention has been given to General Michael Flynn.
Furthermore, many of the liberal mouthpieces have accused Trump of "politicizing" the justice system, though it was the DOJ itself that dropped the charges.
Had Trump wanted to interfere, he could have issued a pardon for Flynn.
But new documents reveal that Flynn was victimized for simply being an associate of President Trump.
