Things are about to get interesting in Pennsylvania’s Senate race.

Dr. Mehmet Oz who is most notable for his tv show ‘Dr. Oz” has officially launched his campaign to run for Pennsylvania’s senate after front runnerĀ  GOP candidateĀ  Sean Parnell dropped out due to allegedly abusing his wife and children.

In Dr. Oz’s most recent statement regarding the Omicron variant he was quoted saying ā€œFlattening the curve metastasized into authoritarian overreach and theyā€™re treating the same overreach with the Omicron ā€¦ I think these choices should be yours.ā€

Dr. Oz stands for most Conservative talking but it’s unclear if he’ll just become another RINO when he gets elected.

Some of his old tweets, show he could be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

The New York Post covered the story:

Oz, 61, announced his intention to run Tuesday after early GOP front-runner Sean Parnell suspended his campaign amid allegations he abused his estranged wife and three children.

The heart surgeon turned syndicated TV host frequently used medical language to explain why the COVID-19 crisis inspired him to enter the crowded primary field, in the brief interview, his first as a candidate.

ā€œFlattening the curve metastasized into authoritarian overreach,ā€ said Oz of the COVID-19 lockdown. ā€œTheyā€™re treating the same overreach with the Omicron ā€¦ I think these choices should be yours.ā€

Oz told host Sean Hannity the tenants to his politics were supporting capitalism and low taxes, energy independence, the constitution and small government.

ā€œAny government thatā€™s large enough to give you everything is large enough to take it away,ā€ the candidate said.

Fox News got the scoop too:

Cardiothoracic surgeon and television host Dr. Mehmet Oz spoke about his recently-declared candidacy for United States Senate in Pennsylvania during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity on Tuesday.

Oz, who went to grade school in President Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Del., and who has lived for many years in New Jersey before moving back to Pennsylvania last year, announced earlier Tuesday he will seek to replace retiring Republican Sen. Patrick J. Toomey.

Oz told “Hannity” that as the son of Turkish immigrants who was afforded “unparalleled opportunities” by the United States to become the successful doctor and television personality that he is, “it is time to repay my debt.”

“America is in crisis, thatā€™s not news, our values are under attack ā€“ so I want to serve America in its time of need,” said Oz, adding that Pennsylvanians deserve better solutions to crises from their elected leaders than they are currently afforded.

Oz spoke about his medical expertise and how he recognized that the now long-surpassed “two weeks to stop the spread” socioeconomic restriction period placed on Pennsylvanians and many other Americans turned out to be much more complicated and worse for the people.
